TimelineSnap has no file-upload API. Your selected JSON stays in the browser, and parsing and storage follow a local-first design.

FAQ

Before you begin

Is my location data stored on a server?

No. TimelineSnap does not send your JSON file or normalized location history to a server. Map background tiles may receive the current map viewport request.

Which files can I use?

JSON extension, MIME type, empty files, and the 50 MB size limit are checked before import.

Can I use travel or running history?

Yes. TimelineSnap shows a day’s movement based on your location and time history.
